Orientation for taking online, or in person classes at Mission College
Paralegal Studies Program

If you want to take an "online" or "on campus" Paralegal Class at Mission these are the steps

First read History of our program, then the Evolution of our webpage and online Paralegal Program, then History of the Webproject, and "the Fab Five", along with "Why you should choose our program?", then do the following:

Some of the classes you will need to word process judicial council court forms, we are working up some more complete instructions on how to do that, in the meanwhile try downloading the omni.exe file and installing it, and check out to see if you get the court forms (with yellow lines) so that you can prepare the forms online and then email them to your respective online instructor. good luck. here are the instructions. Remember to open the forms under americanlegalnet first to word process. email Prof J. for the username and password for americanlegalnet, and loislawchool.com.

1. First Enroll as a student - apply for admission - don't worry about matriculation right now.

2. Please note that once you do apply online for admission you do not receive any email or notice from the college (sorry about that - we are trying to fix that step)

3. Wait a week for the application for admission to be processed.

4. Then go to the website for Student Information, login by typing in your SSN and your PIN (day and month of your birth) and add the class you want to take.

5. Note if you are trying to add a class at the last minute, the system may say too late, or the class is closed, then email Prof. J. at abogado@pacbell.net, let him know which class you want to take, YOUR SSN (full numbers), and he can then see if he can do an add slip to add you to the class, and he will then email you.

6. The classes you may want to take are located: for Session B, or Fall 2002, or Winter 2003, or Spring 2003.

7. You then need to get started on your class. Email your prof. and send them your name, your email address, and your last 4 SSN so he/she can add you to the online gradesheet so you can check your grades on your program.

8. Then read FAQ's Meet our Faculty Student Policies and Procedures about Mission College Paralegal Programread thiswelcome and get startedtextbooksabout Prof.J Prof J's CV Recent Survey on Paralegal Pay

9. Go to the schedule for the class, and start working on the class. Remember to purchase your textbook (if any) first.

10. If you have any questions please email Prof. J. or call him at 818/546-7060 (pager/voicemail) or 818/415-2015 (cell phone).

Good Luck.
